Can't use Matza or Matza meal, but need to stuff a veal with something tasty. What do you suggest?
Mashed root vegetables of some sort. Could use plain potato and spice it up the way you would your standard stuffing, or you could experiment with mashed sweet potato, parsnip, turnip, etc..
a) mirepoix (diced onions, carrots & celery);
b) mixture of sauteed mushrooms;
c) dried apricots;
when i wanna stuff with something thats not bread-y during the rest of the year i use big chunks of parboiled carrots and cauliflower seasoned with a lot of garlic, salt, and pepper
Thanks for the responses so far. I will use a mixture of all. I have yet to learn to appreciate the quinoa, but my mother in law is a health nut so maybe I'll try it again. Anything else with a kick/wow factor?
