Culinary Tours of Los Angeles?
Has anyone ever taken an "officially-offered" culinary tour of Los Angeles? I'm wondering if anyone conducts such a thing.

You could eat your way through Jonathon Gold's guide to ethnic eats in LA, "Counter Intelligence." It needs updating, as it's about 4 years old and some restaurants have gone under. All the same, it's a good self guided tour of restaurants off the beaten path.

Chef Jet Tila who teaches classes in Thai cooking, often does a walking/eating tour of Thaitown. You can check out his website.

I've taken a tour with Six Taste. My first one, Little Tokyo Tour, was so good I booked a second, and have spots for a third. I hadn't been to Little Tokyo and I discovered so many new spots thanks to the LA foodie knowledgeable guide (she had lots of Downtown restaurant tips besides little Tokyo). My friend and I were also more than full at the end, and we bought tons of goodies at the markets. I hear the Downtown tour is equally as good, but with more walking. I did take the Thai Town tour, and while the food was great, the tour went at a slower pace and the guide spent too much time talking about Thai culture and less time talking about the food, also it was clear she wasn't as much a foodie as the Tokyo Tour guide. Also - this coupon is frequently offered on Groupon, Goldstar, and even has deals if you sign up for their email list. Hope that helps.
