Looking for Chef's Tables

I really need your help. I am hoping to book a Chef's Table experience for my God son who I only see every 2 or 3 years. He is 16 and one of the most adventurous eaters I've ever met and we have long email conversations about food. He's appreciative of various cuisines and in awe of chefs.

I will be in NY in about two month's time and hope to have a great night out with him and his family.

Here is the list that I believe has chef's table options:

Gordon Ramsey at the London
Bouley
Daniel's
Cafe Gray
Country
Le Cirque
Il Buco
Olives
Park Avenue Winter

....I can't afford the Gordon Ramsey Option at $2K for the evening before wine, tip etc.

Can you recommend any of the others if you've been? Does anyone know if Park Avenue Winter still has a chef's table-like option as it did when it was the Park Avenue Cafe?

Or would I be better off trying to find a Japanese restaurant with a great sushi bar for an Omakase meal?

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance to all of you Chowhounds.

The counter seats all 12-16(?) diners at Degustation around an open kitchen. I think it is just like a chef's table but maybe a little larger.
Doesn't dell'amina have a the equivalent of a chef's table? Maybe less private, but it seems that that would be more reasonably priced if Tom:Tuesday dinner is too high (same thing with Degustation).
Sushi is also a great option, maybe look into 15 East or Sushi Azabu.

Kitchen Counter at the Beacon. It's a burger bar, Monday through Friday, except for Thursday nights, when it's "Dinner with the Chefs," and reservations are crucial because there are only 6 seats at the counter. You can see a sample menu for the Thursday night dinner if you click through on this link...

I'm checking into both Tom's Tuesday and the Beacon right now. Their menu looks sublime and great value.

Tom's Tuesday has the star/wow factor but I'll check what an average cost may be.

        Either way, I'll report back.

Tom's Tuesday - not exactly Chef's table because you will be sitting with others that you don't know, but it is Tom Colicchio cooking for you!

The only hard thing will be to get a reservation!
