Biltong in London or online?

I'm looking for any recommendations for a good biltong supplier, either in London or online. I've tried the two S African shops at London Bridge and also Charing X, which are ok, Fortnums is nice but pricey, and was just wondering if anyone has any other tips?

  1. Try down in Earlsfield - practically every second person there is South African and most of the shops around the area stock biltong.

putney too. There is (or was anyway) a Saffa shop pretty much next door to the BR station. they do hand cut biltong, wet, dry and peri peri. Its pretty good.

Also, Moen's butchers in Clapham do it too. I imagine its pretty pricey.

    2. Its everywhere. In central London Harrods and Selfridges do a good range and online you will find tons of it on eBay,

      1. I think I saw some at the Greenwich covered market on Sunday, but can't recall the name of the stall... has anyone else seen it?

        1. There's a Saffa shop (a bit incongruently) where Commercial Road hits Aldgate. Certainly sells the usual dried meats and a very fine SA tomato sauce.

SA rugby replica kit also available!

          1. Selfridge's food court used to carry something like six different kinds of biltong, all very addictive. They still might, but I've been out of the UK for nearly two years now.
