My experience at Tapas in Newport by the airport was it was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten.

      2. I don't know about crepa de mariscos but papas bravas and papas all'allioli are available at Blacksheep Bistro in "Old Town" Tustin, on 3rd. They also have astoundingly good lamb chops and quail.

We were there last week and I had a combination plate including quail, sausages and lamb chops - enjoyed it, but my lamb "chop" was about the tiniest one I've ever had, and a bit overdone. We did enjoy the ambiance, service was very attentive, but w/o reservations they seat you outside (with heaters) or in the "deli" area rather than the dining room. We were walk-ins at 5:30 and settled for the deli seating (which had a nice view of the outside patio, and the intriguing aromas of the deli!). Hubby had the lamb special (lamb done 3 ways) and enjoyed it. We split a dessert which was wonderful - a ball of rasberry sorbet/sherbert (can't recall the exact term) encased in a chocolate shell. Excellent in taste and presentation, and just right for two. People were a bit more dressed up than I anticipated and those with reservations seemed to be celebrating a special occasion.

        2. Don't know about those specifically, but the tapas at Picante in Ladera Ranch were surprisingly good.
