Ray Liotta makes an Easter pie on Martha Stewart
Attention Ray Liotta fans! They finally posted the clip from the show I caught by happy accident last week.
I love when he asks Martha if she serves this dish with Crestor. ;) This is on my list of recipes to try. Doesn't it look delicious? And, of course, Ray Liotta is handsome as ever, too.

get outta the way.... I'LL tie that apron!!!!
i don't think ray liotta has a clue about making easter pie! too funny!
on rolling the dough: "it's too hard." "i don't want to mess up the show." "i can't believe there's a show about this." on adding the cheese: "you get crestor with this?" <best line> and then he tells martha "you're a little edgy." LOL!!! and she dated anthony hopkins? ray asks if he was a good kisser..... that martha show, it is something else. ;-).
~~~~~~
btw, martha, how long does it take to chop a freakin' salad (first clip in original post)????›2 Replies-
re: alkapal
Right?! ;)
Clearly he has no clue in the kitchen whatsoever--and his culinary skills were part of the act in Goodfellas. That's OK--I'd be happy to teach him. ;) I'm way more fun in the kitchen than Martha.
"What kind of noodles?"
"Round ones--the little wagonwheels." :)"You're a little edgy." Priceless.
I'm sorry the salad link was posted...I guess because it's the first part of the series of clips. I hadn't watched it till now. She's quite excited about it, isn't she?! Though, the crumbled bleu cheese right in the vinaigrette is a nice touch. I usually just put it right on the greens.
re: Firegoat
Ya know, EXACTLY what you said crossed my mind RIGHT AFTER I posted this thread, but once it's up you can't change the title. I wouldn't waste Ray on Martha. On the other hand, he did say he was looking for a girlfriend! Geez, I would love to volunteer as I have had a major crush on him since Good Fellas, but I'd have a tough time explaining that to the man in my life. ;)
re: kattyeyes
Yes, you can change the title for a short period of time after you post it (maybe a half hour?) - just put your cursor over the title and I think you get a highlight knowing whether you can change it).
But your title is *so* much more eye-catching. :-)
And Firegoat? Martha should *BE* so lucky!
re: LindaWhit
Linda, thanks...I did try, but it looked as though the only thing I could change was the text in the post itself instead of the title...but I'm all for eye-catching!
And no kidding, Martha should be *BE* so lucky. Not if I had a say in it, that's for sure. I'd whack Martha out of my way with a rolling pin to take my rightful spot next to Ray in that kitchen. Whoa, I just went kinda mobster with the "whack" and otherwise violent ideas. I must be channeling my inner Good Gal (is that feminine of Good Fella?). Just think of me as Lorraine Bracco when she's buzzing the doorbell to say there is a ____ in 2R! HA HA! "Get your own g*ddamn man!"
""Get your own g*ddamn man!"
LOL!!
Love Goodfellas!!Anyhow - thanks so much for posting this -
We used to have "Pizza Rustica" every single Easter Sunday when I was a kid, but somehow, slowly but surely this tradition has vanished in my family.
You have given me incentive to make it this year and continue the tradition!I must say though that there are allot of recipes out there for this - and I for one will not be using Ray's! (Spinach??? No!! ickkkkk!!)
Mine will also include some sharp chunks of provolone...BTW - Ray looks pretty good! I'd whack you AND Martha outta the way!
re: NellyNel
Really? You'd better have a BIG rolling pin, girlfriend! ;) He *IS* such a handsome devil.
You probably noticed there was a whole thread on savory Easter pastries (including pizza rustica), but if not, here 'tis:
http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/6063...Or maybe (hopefully) you have a family recipe to carry forward the tradition. Happy baking!
