Little King on Route 33 in Hamilton Twp.

I had half of a half “Italian Special” hoagie from Little King for lunch the other day. It contained Prosciutto, Coteghino, Peppered Ham, Genoa Salami, Capacoli & Provolone along with lettuce, tomato and onion with oil and vinegar and hot and sweet peppers on the side. The half “Italian Special” was more than enough for my wife and me. At $5.75 for the half, half of that was more than enough for lunch and I doubt if you could get a better lunch for less than $3.00 per person anywhere else in NJ or the surrounding area, I know you couldn’t get a better sub or hoagie. It was by far the best hoagie or sub I’ve ever had, period, bar none. I’d put them up against anything that North Jersey, Philly or NYC has to offer on their best day.

Their address is 1951 Route No. 33, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. I don’t think they have a website. If you’re in the neighborhood, try them you won’t be disappointed.

I must agree, Little King makes an amazing sub. Their antipasto salad was very good as well. I used to work nearby (45 minutes from where I live) and would often stop for lunch. On occasion, it even warrented the 45 minute drive just to pickup a couple more.

Tom - You are right. Definitely the best subs anywhere at Little King

You know, I have to be honest, I’ve never ordered a hot sandwich from them, only their cold hoagies or subs. See the scan of their menu.

We went to Little King this weekend after reading this...my husband got a ham and swiss hogie and I had a Turkey and cheese, they were both AWESOME! Can't wait to go back! Two other places we like...Jersey Mikes in Hamilton Square shopping complex on Rt 130 North near the Wall Mart (delicious!) and there is a hoagie place in Trenton on Olden Avenue near Parkway Ave (I think) next to an Italian place, near an IHOP... I can't think of the name of the place but when I was working over there I used to go and they had awesome hoagies too! Little King was GREAT though!!!!!!

Their specialty is definitely cold hoagies. I've had the meatball parm hoagie: OK but nothing special. I may be wrong, but I'm not likely to try a cheesesteak there.
