Dragonfly in Ashland, Oregon

Had lunch there today. My husband's wok fried rice was tasty and a rather generous portion for the $9.50 price (tofu added $3), making it $12.50. My selection was crispy noodles with vegetables, also $9.50 plus tofu, which I didn't have. If I had put the dish in a measuring cup, it wouldn't have filled 1/2 cup except for the almost 1 cup of cilantro piled on top. If I had used all of that cilantro, that's all I would have tasted.

C'mon, Dragonfly. you can do better than that. There was no hint of vegetable except for a few bean sprouts and julienne carrot. Supposed to have shiitake mushrooms, didn't find any. Tofu would have helped, but then at $12.50, it's really high for about $1 worth of ingredients.

Also, my husband had a gin straight -- cost $9. Hey, this isn't New York City. The lunches and the drink are more than we want to spend these days. It's not that we can't afford it. We just don't want to. We live 7 miles away in Medford and could go there regularly. But it looks to me like you guys are trying to suck all you can out of the customers. Too bad. We love Ashland. We have our favorite places there. Will stick with them.

  1. Sorry to hear about your poor experience. The lunch offerings are just okay--I'd rather go to Morning Glory or Agave for lunch--but dinner is quite good, especially the ahi tuna wontons.
