Trenton eats easily accessible from NYC?

I'm meeting some family in Trenton (halfway point from PA) and wondering if other NY'ers have found some good places to eat near the train station. Maybe this belongs in another board, but I thought there might be many others who have been in the same situation. We're primarily concerned with the food being good, and we'd like to be able to sit a while.

    1. Get thee to DeLorenzo's on Hudson Street. It's not far from the train station- quick taxi ride away. It is a pizza restaurant. I know coming from NY you will roll your eyes. I grew up in NJ, have lived in NY, and now am on the west coast and it is the pizza from DeLorenzo's that I still dream about.

      1. If you're looking for something a bit more formal, consider Pete Lorenzo's Cafe. It's directly across the street from the Trenton train station, and a lunchtime hangout for New Jersey politicians and lobbyists. Serves good steaks and chops and some Italian food. It seems to be a little less lively at dinner time, but the staff is friendly and the food pretty good. With Trenton's Chambersburg now only a memory of the once lively Little Italy it was, Pete Lorenzo's is one of the few options in the neighborhood of the train station.

        1. Thanks all - is there a nice place to get coffee nearby? I don't remember DeLorenzo's being a place you could linger, but it would be nice to have a little time to hang out after.
