Piment d'espelette?

love2eat Mar 29, 2009 01:02 PM

The LA Times printed the recipe for LA MILL's Sweet Pea Soup recently. I want to make it but I am having trouble locating Piment d'espelette and pea tendrils. Hounds, please point me in the right direction. I live in the mid-wilshire area and am willing to drive no more than 10 miles. Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I ended up finding it at Monsier Marcel in the Farmer's Market. 17 bucks for a tiny jar! YIKES.

Pea Tendrils, try HK Super on Western and, I think 3rd. Big Korean supermarket and from what I've seen at 99 Ranch stores I think pea tendrils are in season.

Thanks Pinot! They are in season and I purchased some at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market this morning.
