Onion Rings in MTL

While living "abroad" (that is, outside of Quebec), I have grown to love good onion rings.
There is a great debate over breaded vs battered. I myself prefer breaded. But I don't look down on the unfortunates who prefer battered. They just don't know any better. <sigh>

So please tell me what your preference is in regards to onion rings. And more importantly, WHERE do you find good, and dare I say, GREAT onion rings in Montreal!

We had another onion-ring thread I can recall, and there wasn't much response. I still like the onion strings at Mesquite:

I like the onion rings at Jimmy in Hochelaga. They're battered.

Tell me about it. I've had the onion rings at Pitarifique on Rachel and St-Laurent but they were really unremarkable (and cooked in that sludgy, low-fryer-temperature way Montrealers seem to like their fries). That's it, that's all I've seen.
