Where in the U.S.?: If you could have dinner anywhere, where would you go? [Moved from Manhattan]

I have three days off in June. Looking for a good meal and figured this board likely travels more than the others.

I have eaten at Per Se and Alinea, would consider going back to Alinea for this trip.

Where in the United States am I going to get the best dinner? Money doesn't matter.

Thanks a lot.

Tastes vary so much that there isn't
any "best." Being a seafood freak, I'd head for
        New Orleans and specificically, Commander's
        Palace and Ralph & Kacoo's.

            Wow, what a broad topic.

In the last few years, I'd pick The French Laundry as #1, and Blackberry Farm (Walland, TN - gotta' stay there), as #2.

This overlooks some great meals in the US, over the last few years, but hits the two high points for us.

If I got to choose #3, it would be NOCA, PHX, AZ. They have never ceased to amaze me over the last 9 mos.

            Wherever, enjoy,

            Hunt
