Sable in West Village?

Used to love the Sable Deli on the UES when I lived there. Great sable, sturgeon and lobster salad!

Now it's a bit too far to get to living in the West Village. Are there any similar places nearby per chance? Only thing I can think of is Russ' Daughters and that's not even that close!

Laziness wins so far :(

    1. get off your lazy butt and go to Russ & Daughters ;) seriously, at least it's closer than Barney Greengrass or Zabar's!

          I actually just came from there. Didn't know which sandwich to get--so got both a sable and a sturgeon :(

                  Had the sturgeon for lunch, sable for dinner. I preferred their sable, especially with the wasabi flying fish roe!

                  Anyway, yes, it hit the spot ;)
