Who has the best: Big Al's in Delray or Sonny's in Hollywood? Or is there one better than these two?

Sonny's gets lots of props on this board, but I much prefer Spanx on Oakland Park, about a mile east of I-95 on the south side of the street. One philly with steak fries is a meal for 2.

I'm a huge fan of Spanky's on Oakland Park too. It's always fresh and the portions are big.

I hear reports from co-workers about D'Best in Boca but I do not know what these people's standards are.

Sonny's is my favorite spot. Love the cheese steaks, like the burgers too oh and the garlic bread is outrageously good.

This topic is a little old, but worth revisiting. I've had some good cheesesteaks at Quickie's Burger in Hollywood on 441, but the last one was a little disappointing, so my next place to try is Cheesesteak Experience which just opened at 3341 NE 32nd St., Fort Lauderdale, FL (Oakland Park exit) and is described here:

Spanx is still good too: they've since changed their name (I think to Spanky's) after they got a 'cease and desist' from the same-named women's hosiery company (even though they were operating under that name first - if I were their lawyer I would have advised them to hold firm).
