Just tried a new HK Cafe this week. it's called Pit Stop on McNicoll (and Kennedy) at the foot of an apartment complex. Next to where i maid cafe used to be.

It's modern and clean and very inexpensive.

Had the curry beef brisket with rice. Very tasty and tender. The congee and noodles soups were also surprisingly good. And service was very attentive. Quality is very similar to Congee Queen.

Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a cafe that is clean and roomy.

Thanks for the info., Noticed it whilst driving past a few days ago. Quality similar to Congee Queen?! Interesting!
BTW, there used to be a Shanghainese restaurant next to it. Any idea what took its place?
    Thx!

Actually this took the place of the Shanghainese restaurant. This location changes hands often. After the Shanghainese place, there was a dinner place that specialized in homemade soups. Then the Tibetan/Nepal (?) BBQ place that someone reviewed on this site.
Now it's the cafe. It's inexpensive and the service is pretty good. That's why I hope this place will stay on :-)
By the way, the next place that I will try based on your rec is Sun's. I loved the article on you. Very interesting.
