Trying to decide between Bouley and Scarpetta for celebratory dinner with parents

I have eaten many times at Bouley (although never in the new space) and have always enjoyed it. Have never eaten at Scarpetta. I can't decide whether to branch out and give Scarpetta a chance (have seen some mixed reviews) or whether I should stick with Bouley (given that it just got 3 stars from Bruni).

Any thoughts from people who have dined at both recently?

Thank you!

Went to Scarpetta this weekend and it was divine. Felt very current and new. Polenta appetizer was mindblowing, and pasta (agnolotti) was truly delicious. We also really loved the coconut panna cotta with guava soup. Very fresh tasting.
