Great Dinner at Dante's Kitchen

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dante's Kitchen. I was just in town last week and stumbled into DK after the host at Jacque Imo's suggested it (the wait at JI's was 2 1/2 hours on a Wednesday evening). We were sat immediately at DK and were brought complimentary spoon bread...so good! The apps were delicious: shrimp and grits, barbecue shrimp, homemade pickle plate, and a cauliflower and olive salad. The entree portions were quite generous and each were teeming with local ingredients. My scallops were cooked perfectly and paired with gorgeous shoots. I loved the beef tenderloin three ways as well. The uncontested star of the night was an heirloom carrot-ginger soup. The cocktails were inventive and the service was great. Go here!

I love Dante's Kitchen--I've been there three times and have never been disappointed. I'd like some recommendations from fellow CHers for places that are similar--if you had your heart set on Dante's Kitchen but it was closed, where would you go and what would you get?

I'd walk the few blocks to Boucherie and know that whatever choice I made would be delightful. Period.

Haven't heard of Boucherie. What's the scoop on that place?

It's awesome. I reviewed it a while back. Just search the board, and it'll come up. It's similar to Cochon, only better.

Dick and Jenny's- scallops, appetizer sampler, smoked carrots, and had an amazing beef cheek there once
