Trying to decide where to go tonight for comfort food with a side of healthy. Can you guys think of any places that have kickass salads on their menus? Or at least some delicious sides of greens? I realize it's RW, but am hoping to pop out into the neighborhood for something scrumptious. Due to the yuckiness that is the weather tonight, we will not be leaving the S. End. Thanks!

Not sure how kickass you want to go - for a nice, comfort-food, pop-out, weeknight meal, I'd head to Picco. Fairly simple salads but good ingredients and great pizza - but I'd go for the mac & cheese. Alternately, Tremont 647.

I know I'm too late for the OP, but I had a simple but wonderful salad, including surprisingly good tomatoes given the season, with my meal last week at Coda.

More of an elevated-bistro kind of menu, but I think Hamersley's does the best salads in the South End.

I'm of no help but next time you're in the North End, Terramia has the best salad I've had in ages w/ gorgonzola and figs. Loved it.
