Have you actually used both Silvinox AND Brinox-finished Demeyere?
I am having a dilemma. I bought a piece of Demeyere Sirocco cookware from Marshalls about 7-8 years ago and love both the look and the way it handles. I have finally decided to purchase all the sizes I normally use but now have a question. After reading everything I can about the two types of finish, I wonder if I might prefer the Atlantis series with the Silvinox finish. I know that people love the finish of the Brinox, and others say the Silvinox cleans up wonderfully. Has anyone used both, and can you give your comparisons?
I am having good luck purchasing these from an internet site and noticed that the Atlantis pieces seem to be fewer than the Sirocco, and that they go for a higher price when they do show up. Is there a reason?
I have saucepans in Sirocco, but want a 4.2 Quart saute, and I would really like this to be the more non-stick because I will be actually sauteeing in it rather than just boiling liquids. I do not care about pans matching. Thank you.
I'm not familiar with the Brinox finish, but I love my Demeyere Atlantis pans with the Silvinox finish. Most people seem to have the Atlantis line. Here are some previous posts you might find helpful.
