Cooking Class - San Sebastian or Madrid
I am looking to surprise my dad with a 1 or 1/2 day cooking class in either of these cities. We will be in spain in May 2009, and a google search returned way too many broad (and seriously expensive) choices.
Does anyone have any 'been there-done that" recommendations?
Or does anyone have a relative in Spain that wants to take 2 americans into their home (for $) and cook some traditional recipes with them?

I am bumping this thread in hopes that someone will have a recommendation. I am leaving in about 10 days and would really like to set something up before hand.

I just got back and did not get the opportunity to try any. There was a brochure in my hotel in SanSe and as soon as I unpack and organize my stuff I will try to find it. I could point out the corner it is on...but don't know the name right now. Will get back to you on this!

I am looking for the same thing for my mom! We are going to Madrid May 26-June 1 and I would love something in the 100 Euro range as opposed to the 300 Euro range (per person!) that I have found on the internet. If you want those links I can provide them, but that seems ridiculous for 2.5hours...

It is very affordable. My problem is that the days I will be in Madrid they have a Japanese guest chef. I was hoping for Spanish cooking....but maybe it will work for you?
