If you were going to focus on one area Uptown/Garden District or the French Quarter for a Friday progressive style lunch which locations would you patronize? Cocktails, apps, entrees, desert and in-betweens, all cuisines from dives to upscale entertained, reservations a hindrance though.
I have no doubt we'll get stuck at some comfy milieu but I want optimize our stickiness:-)
Post your most fantastical or logical progressive style Friday New Orleans lunch!

You could do the whole thing in just a few blocks of Magazine St. between Napoelon and Louisiana. Cocktails at the Club, oysters, oyster stew, and fried crab claws at Casamento's, entrees at Petite Grocery, wonderful desserts at Lilette, and more cocktails back at the Club.

LOL Uptown, I read this 3 times before I realized you were referring to Ms. Mae's... I somehow couldn't put together the words cocktails and Ms. Mae's and make it jive! Very nice suggestion and walking distance too. I shall see what my partner in crime thinks.

I think I'd start the day w/a spin on the Carousel. then belly up to the bar at Dickie Brennan's for another cocktail and apps. then cross the street to Mr. B's for some gumbo Ya-Ya and another cocktail. or, you could hit Bourbon house for oysters and champagne.
head on over to Galatoire's for stuffed eggplant and crabmeat au gratin, and perhaps another cocktail. you might want to then go to Vieux Carre Wine & Spirits for a split and to-go flutes for a stroll and some shopping. next stop, Touche' for a White Russian for dessert.

Oh my.... a white russian desert. Now that's a concept in and of itself I can get down with. But where is Touche'? My googlefu fails to find anything but a Touche' Cafe in Lakeview :S

Touche' is next to the Rib Room with entrance on Royal St. (corner St. Louis)
It was always a stop for a White Russian on the way home from Santa Fe...when we were much younger.

You could also go to:
http://www.arnauds.com/bar.html
French 75 has limited bar snacks/apps.

or finish in the courtyard poolside at:
Saint Ann Marie Antoinette Hotel 717 Rue Conti
drinks from Claire's Bar back in the courtyard.

cheers!
