Lunch/Brunch this Saturday in Newport

We (two reasonably young couples w/ an 8yr. old child)are driving down to Newport (from LA) this Saturday and are looking to lunch, or better yet brunch, at a view restaurant. We are open to any kind of food (as long as it's good) with a festive atmosphere. Any recs., please?

A friend recommended Blue Water Grill, any thoughts?

You might also like the Beachcomber, which is right on the sand in one of the old cottages at Crystal Cove. Food is certainly OK, not to die- but the setting more than makes up for it. http://www.thebeachcombercafe.com/_cr...
    I do like Bluewater too.

There are a few places to go.

Bluewater Grill is good. 3 thirty 3 is also good too. Also the Cannery. If you are looking to drive a little more down PCH, Las Brisas in Laguna has good food and a good view.

      Hope this helps.
