I have been to BEP a Vietnamese pop up restaurant only open on Mondays at Simple cafe. Great food, great ambiance andl nice staff. The Banh Mi there are delicious with the right balance of meat, veggies, pickles and light, fluffy bread. Right now they serve Xa Xui Pork and Banh Mi and Grilled Pork Banh Mi. Both for $5.5. He serve Pho, and a Pork Soup. I their bowl of vermicelli with grilled Pork....LOVE IT!!!!

    1. The folks at Bep were very nice, but my bowl of Hanoi chicken soup was disappointingly lacing in complexity:

yes I did try the Hanoi chicken, pork and eggs soup. The soup was really good but I asked for the Mam tom ( shrimp paste), it is a very strong condiment you have to add for that soup. The chef told me he has it but only give it on request because most of the people won't be able to handle it, he also gave some ca cuon ( bettle essence)...that's the right way to eat like my family do it at home. definately without these elements, the soup would be bland.
