New in Cincinnati in past 7-8 months

cresyd Mar 25, 2009 02:11 AM

I have been living abroad for the past 8 months and am visiting my parents in Cincinnati for a few weeks and was wondering if there have been any new restaurants or bars worth checking out that have opened since I've been gone. I'm more than happy making them take me to old favorites, but anything new and exciting (that's not Middle Eastern) would be great to hear about.

I was going to suggest Cafe Mediterranean in Anderson Township, but that might not be what you're looking for. We had a good meal at 20 Brix in Milford a few weeks back; they have 40 or 50 wines by the glass, and the food was well done. It's no competition for Boca, but we enjoyed ourselves, and it's in a different part of town. There's also Oceanaire downtown, which cuts servings of fish the way Ruby cuts steaks. We've enjoyed ourselves there as well.

Thanks - my parents are in Wyoming, so heading out to Anderson or Milford to eat in general usually takes a bit of coaxing. For the past 8 months I've been living in Jerusalem and have traveled to countries around the Mediterranean from Egypt to Croatia...so I'll be frank - that's not what I'm looking for. I'll probably just cave and end up back at Boca with them, but if there was anything new and fun wanted to hear about it.
