I almost.....averted disasters

The other day, I came home for lunch and started to prepare a quesadilla from great tortillas from a nearby restaurant. My SO is a musician who keeps odd hours and it seems much of his eating is done when I'm either at work or in bed. So, I grabbed a zip lock back of what looked like grated white cheddar out of the fridge for the quesadilla. Thank goodness he was standing there, and I stopped to think - it was shredded, dried squid from the Asian market. Boy, would that have been a surprise!!!

Anyone else have a near-disaster?

  1. Hahahah!! this made me laugh so hard.

I don't know if this counts, but as a kid I remember seeing this bowl on the kitchen counter that looked like it was melted chocolate. I was about one minute from digging in when my sister grabbed it and started eating. Haha... turned out it was canned catfood mixed with water.

I'm not sure what that says about me or about the canned cat food!! hahaha.

Omigosh, that is funny! When my sister was little, we couldn't send her out to feed the cats or dogs, because she'd sit right down and help herself to the can. Eeeew!
