Edie's ice cream in Forest Hills

Has anyone been to Edie's in Forest Hills? A gem! An old fashioned soda fountain on Metropolitan Ave. Worth the trip just to see the place. It is what Jahn's used to be. there is also a chocolate shop across the street, the name which escapes me, that has delicious truffles. They are both about a block from Dee's brick oven pizza.

I assume you're talking about Eddie's Sweet Shop, which has been there forever, and is definitely worth a detour. Very good ice cream, great whipped cream, time-warp atmosphere.
