would like to drive to a nice, somewhat romantic spot for lunch / brunch on saturday. prefer greenmarket / local / organic food, but am open to other suggestions. willing to drive up to 1.5 hours one way...just looking to get out of the city for most of the day and would like a nice lunch to aim for. open to suggestions!

You should probably go to the Barn at the Bedford Post Inn. The chef sources all his ingredients locally and they are all organic. The drawback is it is a very casual setting and can be pricey. Also you will probably end up waiting for a table. The drive is nice but I can't think of much to do in the immediate area. Maybe drive up to Mt. Kisco when you're done and walk around town there...

No menu on the website but the phone number and directions are there.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Sometimes there are classes and other events or maybe bring your bicycle, otherwise look up the history of the Rockefeller estate that it is on and see some sights.

no lunch at BH at SB, unless you count the snack bar.
