looking for a good spot to take my wife to this Saturday. Anywhere within 1.5 hours drive is in range. Would love something in the green market / local / seasonal variety, that's also somewhat scenic, or at least a really nice vibe. any thoughts?

Are you asking about a restaurant an hour and a half OUTSIDE of Manhattan? If so, you should look at the Tristate Region or Outer Boroughs boards. I'll start you off with Blue Hill at Stone Barns. I've never been there, but someone's bound to mention it, and it might as well be me.

But it's open for lunch only on Sunday. Whoops!

I would recommend Equs Restaurant at the Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, NY. We got married there last year and it was amazing! Very romantic and the food and service are excellent.
