Columbus's Smith and Wollensky?? - moved from Midwest board

I have now pretty much narrowed down my choices for rehearsal dinner for 65 people..It is between Smith and Wollenskys in Easton town center or McCormick and Schmicks in Easton town center...Anyone have any thoughts on either, I would really appreciate it...Thank you...

I really enjoyed my lunch at Smith and Wollenskys. And if you try their Manhatten, a good time will be had by all. Enjoy!

I realllllly do not like McCormick and Schmicks with their over priced tiny portions and corporate mentality.
Smith and Wollenskys is an easy choice for me, especially for a group. As a chef I've done tons of weddings. When there is a fish choice we typically see 5% of the group choose that compared to steak.
      Hope this helps and CONGRATS!

Thank you so much for your feedback...I am looking at the menu now and trying to decide what three entrees would be best...With 65 people, I am assuming if I choose one of each (seafood, chicken and steak) I will have it covered...The most important thing aside from having hopefully great food, is having fun...It was extremely difficult to find a place in Columbus that would hold 65 people, other than a true "banquet hall"..
        Thank you again!!!!

Yes chicken, steak and salmon would cover the bases. NY strip steak and Salmon are typical choices in theese functions for a number of reasons if that helps.
65 is indeed a large party.
A wedding is a blur for most, I know it was for us. So much planning and then it flys by.
Keep a smile and have fun no matter what the day brings.

I've been to brunch at Smith & Wollensky's a couple of times. Very well-prepared (PERFECT, tender eggs), nice service, VERY expensive. I'm glad you found some places that will work for you!

I've never been to McCormick & Schmicks, so no idea for a comparison.

        Good luck!
