Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

Where to buy kosher for Passover wine?

Not manischewitz! I want to buy some white wine to cook with that is kosher for Passover. Any suggestions for places in Manhattan, preferably close to an F or 4/5/6 train?

Thanks!

  1. All wine stores will carry Kosher for Passover wines. Check your regular/closest store.

Try the liquor stores near NYU along and near Broadway.

    2. Astor Wines & Spirits ~ De Vinne Press Building ~ 399 Lafayette St at East 4th St ~ New York, NY 10003 ~ (212) 674-7500
Decent selection, good prices & within walking distance to F & 4/5/6 trains.

I was going to recommend them, too. I've gotten several quite good kosher l'Pesach wines from them over the last x-number of years. I just tell the salesperson how much I want to spend, what kind of flavor profile I'm looking for and what the wines should go with.

Astor and also the warehouse on Broadway next door to the diner/burger place

        2. Astor, and though not in the area requested Gotham Wines (Broadway, UWS) and Beacon Wines (I don't love them so much for regular wine, but their Kosher Selection is pretty decent).

My absolute favorite place to buy kosher for passover wine is Gotham Wines (Broadway between West 89th and 90th). They have a huge selection and are very helpful. I know nothing about wine, but my father is an expert oenophile, and I've not gone wrong yet with their suggestions. When I've been in the neighborhood, I've also gone to Skyview in Riverdale.
