Bumped in to Axis Cafe

I was working in the area and found Axis Cafe to be a complete surprise.

I really enjoyed the golden beet, goat cheese salad with citrus vinagarette-I raved about it to the chef and said I could eat this everyday-so fresh. Nice atmosphere as well.

    What area might that be?

It's in SOMA. I had a strawberry scone and turkey sandwich a few weeks back and everything was good. I enjoyed the atmosphere the most. They had a large couch around a fireplace and everything was really "raw". Polished cement floors etc.

Oh right. Now that you've jogged my memory I remember some reports.

Not in Soma, it's closer to Mission Bay and is at the bottom of Potrero Hill. My earlier report: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/5466...
