Vancouver resto suggestion for group of 6-7

My buddy’s coming down next month and is looking for a decent reasonably priced place to go to eat with 6-7 people? We've got a mix of tastes. Any suggestions?

Is it a "drinks forward" evening? If so - do your tastes gravitate to beer/wine/cocktails?
What kind of cuisine will you all enjoy?

Tojo's is the best Sushi/Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in - period. Ask the chef to do a tasting menu for you and get ready!

Very good French Bistro food for a great price. Only drawback is that you need to make reservations at least 2 weeks in advance.

Pnom Penh
if mixed tastes include Asian friendly this may be a good choice: classic Vancouver Vancouver favourite Cambodian/Vietnamese in deepest darkest Chinatown. (Need to include butter beef and lemon fried squid and/or chicken wings for full effect
