Anyone been here recently? Going for the first time tonight.. wondering what's good. Thanks!

I went there with my mother a few years ago purely out of convenience and curiosity. My mother, who is a retired chef, asked for salt. The waitress said "We don't have salt". My mother whispered in my ear "We never have to come here again". Sometimes it's best to take Mom's advice. My brother said it reminded him of his farmer days - the place smells like horse feed.

It def has a particular odor to it....I used to still get desserts from the take-out window there but they got to be way too sweet and over-priced or completely flavorless.

angelica gets slagged on chowhound but we like it - specials are hit or miss but when they hit, ooh la la.

The food was good, but the service killed it for me. The waitress didn't want to serve me a different dressing on my salad because she said I wouldn't like it and I would want to send it back for the original version. Cmon.. that's not service- that's just rude

I just got home from dinner, and to be honest I wasn't impressed at all. The food was nothing special, and the waitress was very snooty and almost mean. One friend is allergic to a seeds and nuts, and asked the waitress which dishes should be avoided. The waitress answered her to avoid anything with nuts or seeds in the name. When the friend ordered a dish that seemed to be allergen-free, he waitress answered her that the dish contained nuts. I asked for reccomendations and popular dishes, and she basically told me to order the special. I asked about a few other dishes, and she basically told me to figure it out for myself. She never came back to our table, even when we told her we were ordering salads first and then other dishes. We practically had to beg for menus. The food was good, nothing great, and I wouldn't go back. Just wondering how the food can come out so quickly..within minutes of ordering something, it was on the table.

One of the few veg restaurants that doesn't have sodium-filled, deep-fried stunt meat all over the menu, I truly appreciate their healthy approach. Their tempeh reuben is one of my all-time faves, and the Pantry Plate (mix-&-match apps) is fun to share. Remember that it is cash only, and enjoy!

I have to say that I am a fan of Angelica's. I have always had great service there and I am usually eating by myself as well. That said, the food is good but not amazing.

I like to go there mainly because of how healthy it is. I typically eat a Monday night dinner there to start my week off on a healthy note. I would recommend the Dragon Bowl, it is pretty large so I usually get the Wee Dragon unless I'm sharing. Angelica's also has a very good Chai tea.

I ate there once, wasn't impressed, hence the one time. Food was so-so, and the servers "full of themselves," as were most of the new-agers there. At the time I was a vegetarian so it wasn't that I wasn't "one of them" (food-wise, that is, not 'tude -wise).
