Looking for recommendations for restaurants in Cambria for dinner (this Friday night) and breakfast the following morning. Especially interested in good food and good value, perhaps something a step down from, say, the caliber/prices of Artisan in Paso Robles where I'll be splurging- and spending $ - on Saturday.

I second Black Cat Bistro, wonderful food and ambiance. But the prices are in the same range of Artisan. For something different and less expensive, try Wild Ginger Cafe, reasonable and very well done pacific rim fusion.

Second both BCB and WGC. Always our first two choices.

Big fan of Robin's here (need to make reservations though for dinner, especially on a weekend). Also love Moonstone Bar & Grill (they have the BEST cheesecake). For a completely casual dinner you could eat at the Cambria Bar & Grill, the grilled salmon sandwich is so good (but bring cash - they don't take credit cards)

I would try the Sow's Ear with their early diners special.
