Anyone have a favorite taco truck in Napa which will cater parties?

We're thinking of having a party this summer and wanted to have a taco truck park in the driveway to feed the guests. I'm a huge Taco Chavez fan, but unfortunately they won't cater parties. Anyone have any favorites and whether they will cater?

Would also be up for a good Mexican chef or restaurant, but thought the taco truck would be fun and different. Appreciate any thoughts.

So I just tried Tacos Michoacan and all I can say is WOW. I thought Tacos Garcia was good but really loved Michoacan. I still love Tacos Chavez but nice to have the variety at Michoacan since Chavez only does beef cheeks.

A couple of years ago we had the truck that parks next to Sleep City/Kragen Auto Parts on Jefferson come for our going away party when we were moving out of town. I can't recall the name, but they are there every day.

We just had them show up at a cetain time, stay till a certain time, allowed our guests to eat whatever they wanted, no charge. We guaranteed them $200, and would pay anything that went over. I think our final bill was around $300 with a tip included. We still have people say it was the best party ever.

That's Michoacan, as Ive said Garcia and Michoacan are the two best in Napa. Ive tried them all from the Central Valley to Oakland, SF and Vallejo. There are several good ones elsewhere but for Napa stick to the above two.

No, that's Taqueria La Herradura parked next to Kragen and Sleep City on Jefferson. But I definitely second them. Great tacos, I'm a fiend for their Al Pastor. The owner is a super-cool dude, I also had him cater a party for me. It was awesome.

I stand corrected Michoacan is in the Kragen parking lot on Trancas. Nevertheless Michoacan and Garcia which is parked at the gas station on Salvador at 29 are IMO the best in Napa.

teejaymoore, The two best and forget the rest Garcia or Michocoan. Garcia parks their truck daily at Salvador and Highway 29, Michocoan has one truck on Trancas in the parking lot of an auto parts store across from Bel

teejaymoore, their are only two choices and forget the rest. Either Taco truck Garcia which parks its truck on Salvador ave at highway 29 in the lot of a gas station or Michocoan which has one truck in the l,ot of an auto parts store on Trancas across from Bel Aire plaza. They also have a reataurant/taqueria on Lincoln and Soscal. Sorry I dont have their numbers, but both are excellent and do catering.

Have you tried Taco Chavez (Coombs north of Imola a few blocks from 6pm to 9pm)? Great tacos (only beef) but they don't cater. Thanks for the recs and look forward to expanding our Napa taco repertoire.

I've driven by this truck and have noticed the line that forms apparently right at 6 pm. Thanks for the rec, I'll have to stop there one of these nights.

On a similar thread, wining this weekend (Friday Napa, Saturday Sonoma, Sunday who knows) - what's the best taco truck near Napa for some Friday lunch?

If up for local favorites - burgers at Andie's Cafe are really good. It's equivalent to a taco truck on the atmosphere scale since it's located in the car wash on First Street in Napa as you exit Highway 29 towards the outlet mall.
