Kaffir lime leaves on the west side (near MDR)? And other Thai ingredients.
Any great sources for fresh kaffir lime leaves in the vicinity of Marina del Rey? Galangal would be great too. I've seen plenty of lemongrass around, though.
Thanks!
This old post mentioned a couple places not that close... any updates or additions?

there is a good asian grocery store on national just west of motor, where it bends to go north. Itis just across the street from Hu's restaurant. I found Kaffir lime leaves there. they also have great food to eat at the three tables there.

Although not close, Bangkok Market on Melrose 2 blocks east of Western has all the Thai ingredients you want and then some (freeway close.) Also, as a frequent Tom Kha Kai (sp?) soup maker, I have found that lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaves freeze brilliantly in a ziplock freezer bag with no special preparation except being cut to fit the bag. Best of luck!

re: joshekg
Oh goody, thanks so much. I've been there before for eat-it-there snacks, and it's nice. I did venture to Simpang Asia Groceries (mentioned on that other thread), and was able to pick up lemongrass and frozen kaffir lime leaves (thank you PinotPlease for your post on freezing, by the way).
I noticed as I passed Samosa House that it looked open - so it looks like these are two good sources for things that are pleasantly open on a Sunday evening! (Not sure of Samosa House's hours... Simpang Asia is open late and has a little informal restaurant as part of it - packed at about 8pm.)
I did want to get some fresh turmeric, so Samosa House is a likely stop early this week!
