There is a Takamatsu at t he Northwest corner of Eliott and Arizona Ave in Chandler. Japanese name, Korean (and Japanese) food. I have only been to the west Valley location but believe that they are under the same ownership. The food at the other location is great and draws a big Korean customer-base.

i wasnt aware if there are different styles of Korean food, but i assume there might be differences as far as regional styles. I'm open to try them all.

I like Chodang in Chandler for tofu soups (i.e. Sundubu), and their panchan and mandoo ain't bad either. Chodang is a CA chain that is expanding to the Valley.

I think Chodang is the best the Valley has to offer in terms of Korean food. Better than Takamatsu, Manna or Hodori.

I have not been to the East Valley location, but the one in West Phoenix has Korean table-top BBQ, as well as all the traditional items like noodles, "casseroles", clay pot items, etc.
