Looking for any Early Bird Specials / Deals in the Kennesaw or Marietta, GA area

I'm trying to find any Restaurant Early Bird Specials or "Deals" in the Kennesaw, GA or Marietta, GA area during the week or weekends.

Several of my neighbors have lost their jobs in the last month, all of whom have children and are very, very social people.

I would like to find some nice restaurant deals that would make it affordable for the parents to go out to a nice dinner every now & then until things get better, financially and otherwise.

Most people would say that they just simply shouldn't go out & they should stay home every single night to save money. I say it's important - only every now and then - to keep some normalcy and and stave off cabin-fever. These are people who were accustomed to eating out all the time - like every night!

I'll volunteer to keep their children when they go out - for free!

There was a steak restaurant nearby that had a wonderful early-bird menu (seated before 5:30pm, order before 6:00pm) and also an Italian restaurant around the corner that had half-price wines (everything on the list) one night a week, but (sadly) both have stopped running specials.

Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

Also any advice or insight about any free or discounted daytime events they could enjoy with their children would be equally appreciated!

My awareness is a bit east of you, but still technically has a Marietta address. Aspen's on Shallowford @ Sandy Plains, Chicago's on Shallowford @ Johnson Ferry, and LaStrada on Johnson Ferry just south of Shallowford all were offering early bird special when I last dined at each. Chicago's also has a location on Whitlock west of the Marietta Square.

An e-mail just reminded me that Paper Mill Grill on Johnson Ferry @ Paper Mill also has an early bird special menu with a choice of five entrees.

Not Marietta but not too much further south, Vinings Inn has a $12 "twilight" menu with 12 selections . Free valet parking too.
