Bone-In Leg on a Spit?

Can a bone-in leg of lamb be prepared using a spit / rotisserie? Anyone have some suggestions for preparation?

    I have seen it done by running the spit through the leg starting along the bone. I sort of remember them wiring the bone to the spit.
