Lunch in Alameda

leahoak Mar 20, 2009 04:58 PM

I'm meeting a colleague for lunch on Monday, and Alameda is the meeting place for our working lunch. Where can we go for a nice, quiet lunch that won't break the bank $10-15 a meal.
I'm hoping for a location not too far from Park bridge.

Not too far is Kamakura for Japanese. They are at Broadway & Santa Clara. Lunch is 11:30-2:30. They tend to be quiet. 2549 Santa Clara. Our office goes there at least twice a week.

Asena is in the same block has Mediterranean. I've only had a catered dinner from them, but many friends go there for lunch. 2508 Santa Clara.

Japanese sounds good and quiet. Thanks for the recommendation.

Near the Park Street Bridge is Little House, a Lafler find.

Little House is great, but it might be pretty busy. If it's a nice day you can sit outside, but if it's not, they only have about four tables inside. I suspect Asena is more than your price range. Speisekammer, too. There are lots of places on Park St., so it depends on what you're looking for. King of Thai noodles might work for you. The last time I had a weekday lunch on Park St. it was Ole's, but they're very crowded during the lunch hour (less so after 1 p.m.).
