good food cool vibe

hey all,
looking for something different. great vibe, good food. for a group of 8 tomorrow night.
all types of food, price up to $65pp roughly. nothing fancy. trendy would fine. something with good food, good vibe. La Esquina would be perfect but can't get in, of course!

Suba in the LES has a very cool vibe. Food is uneven, meaning you either get lucky or you don't. It could be worth a try.

Maybe Macao Trading Co in Tribeca, it's sceney and the food is suppose to be ok. There's a not so secret anymore bar downstairs too. I've only been for brunch and it's good.
