Where can I buy Fresh Cherry Peppers on the Westside (on anywhere in LA)?

Hi, I live in Santa Monica and want to make fresh stuffed Cherry Peppers. They don't have fresh ones at Vons or Whole Foods or any of the other small markets I have gone to in SM & Venice?

I bought the jarred ones once but they were many steps down from the fresh ones I used to make in Chicago.

Any suggestions? I go into Downtown and Hollywood every weekday, so those are in play.

Thank you.

  1. I would guess that it's still too early for cherry peppers. (Chile) pepper plants usually require warmer temps to not only sustain themselves, but to produce chiles - good ones - as well. You might try asking your local produce person (dept manager or shop owner) when they expect these to be on the shelf. I'm thinking May or June at the earliest. I don't know if this particular chile is grown in Mexico for export, but this might be put them on the shelves sooner.
