Tragedy Befalls Jackson Heights Food Lovers

pablanos (my favorite late night mexican place besides coatzingos) right by the roosy subway station, has dropped their amazing lamb tacos from the menu. i hope im not the only one lamenting this. i ate those babies at least 3 times a week. cheap too, like 2 bucks. life is a cruel cruel beast. coatzingos doesnt have them, neither does tacolandia. im thinking maybe cositas ricas carries them but that place is to well lit for my liking, specially at a late hour. if anyone knows a replacement joint for lamb tacos in the area, even a cart let me know please, thanks

      word! I used to go there only for their lengua asada tacos . . . . is it really lamb? i know they use the word barbacoa sometimes which is . . . goat? sorta lamb? kinda?

        Too funny... barbacoa is the style not the meat but yeah goat usually round here in Tulcingo norte. I get a very spicy "mutton" dish at Dosa Garden that is actually goat and I still don't know if the Tamil owner knows which is which. BTW, I use to eat buried and forgotten barbacoa down in Arizona and I never liked it... just too damn pungent but maybe mas autentico? Do you think we're eating kid around here? I love consomme de chivo!

            Thanks for the info... can't help but hear "mutton" and think of the Seinfeld episode. I believe goat is the most consumed meat on earth, no?
