Koji BBQ Truck

janetms383 Mar 20, 2009 09:27 AM

Being an OC girl and just hearing about this fusion roach coach, I'm bummed that it's turf is strictly LA. Has anyone tried the food? Would it be worth the effort to hunt them down?

I love the idea of upscale catering trucks. Is this going to be a new trend? Will OC learn to embrace the concept? A curious mind wants input.

BTW Koji's website is very slick.

It's worth tracking down. Even if you have to wait in a long line you won't be disapointed. There tacos are worse then drugs.

No way in hell I'd wait more than 5 minutes for some kogi tacos. They'd have to pay me to drive from OC to (westla/silverlake/wherever) and then wait in some ridiculous line for their tacos. And they'd have to pay well.

they were ok and Interesting for one time, but i don't think i really crave those things and i've try quite an extensive portion of their limited menu. the saucing on each of the tacos is also the same, so if you're tried one, you've tried em all.

Kogi is tasty but the whole twittering, seek and line up thing... Now that they have two trucks and everyone and their sister has finally eaten them I think the Kogi folks should get it together and go to where the people need them - around bars at closing time. Isn't that why god created tacos anyway?

Yup, and when it's 130am and I'm wasted the last thing I want to do is wait 90 minutes for some freaking tacos.

                    Exactly!!

Anyway, if not into chasing down the roach coach, you can try the Alibi Room in Venice for a fix on Kogi tacos. But, you probably don't need to make a special trip - I live nearby so it's on my list, but I'm too old & hungry (& tired) at 1:30 am to wait for food from a truck.

Next time you're on the westside at night, is my suggestion.
