Asian grocer near Andersonville

Hi, gonna be in town for a few days and want to pick up some hard to find ingredients for Asian fare. Need some recs for grocers in or near the Andersonville area. Thanks!

    There is also a lovely Asian market on Broadway, just north of the Jewel. The name is completely escaping me now, but it is right next to the Jewel, between Berwyn and Balmoral.

      To merkay---Is the name Golden Phoenix? I haven't been up there in a while to see if it's still there. Used to be very very clean, pleasant. I think it was in the building that used to be a mattress store, just below Balmoral.

        Yes, I think that's it! I know it definitely has Golden in the name.

      If you're limiting yourself to that area, then Viet Hoa on Argyle is your best bet (the three-block stretch between Broadway and Sheridan, just SE of Andersonville). A 30-minute car ride to the burbs will lead you to H-Mart or Assi - Asian MEGASTORES.
