Hwa Lei market, 16th & Mission [San Francisco]
What a pleasant surprise. I had been meaning to check out this place on the north side of 16th just east of Mission, next to the Burger King. I discovered they carry three of my regular needs that until now have always required a trip out of the neighborhood:
West Coast Noodle brand packaged fresh noodles
Thai basil
Longevity brand condensed milk (just milk and sugar, no junk)
Good selection of fish sauces and Mae Ploy curry pastes, too.
