Found: Portable Chopsticks!

Even though I now eat out rarely, I first started bringing my own small porcelain, elongated spoon for yogurt when more than once the plastic spoons given out had rough edges that scraped my mouth. Then, there was a pair of portable chopsticks that were given as a gift from a tea place that involves screwing two parts together, but was easy to carry. Then I heard about this other kind of spring action portable chopsticks that I realized I MUST have :

I look forward to my next Ramen outing....

You can get the ones that screw together at Mountain Equipment Co-op in Canada. And yes, I do own a pair.

Many backpacking shops carry screw together chop sticks by a Japanese company, Snow Peak. The Snow Peak site even shows some combos such as a spork and chopsticks.

Now here's some that leaves me drooling - a nesting set of Japanese cast iron pots (dutch oven, skillet and lid). A bit more expensive than Lodge ware.

I got mine in Flushing's Tzu chi office, but I think there's also an office in Manhattan's Chinatown, too, on Howard between Lafayette and Broadway. (i know there's another street in between there, but I can't remember the name now)
