Healthy Lunch in Midtown West/ Hell's Kitchen

I'm getting bored with my usual lunch options and would like to find some new healthy alternatives. Take out or sit down, but under $10 is preferable. Less would be even better :) Thanks!

    1. i don't know what your "usual" options are, but these are your best bets for healthy, inexpensive chow:

      The Pump
      Pita Grill
      Better Burger

      1. azuri

        -----
        Azuri Cafe
        465 W 51st St, New York, NY 10019

Definitely! Azuri! the owner is a maniac and the food is Very fresh and good

        2. Just Salad

          1. Thanks all. I do check midtownlunch.com but their border usually stops before 9th ave. I do like pita grill, but have found them to be a little too expensive for lunch. The Pump is a good choice, but I haven't been impressed with better burger. Haven't been to Azuri in a while, they do have very good falafel. I'll have to take a walk over there soon. Where is Just Salad?

Thanks. Looks like the closest one right now is in Midtown East. Maybe when I have some time on a nice day I'll take a walk over there. Or maybe they'll open the one in Rock Center first.

                  Fashion District location is 37th b/w 7th & Bway.

            2. What boundaries are you looking at for Midtown West?

              1. re: Peter Cuce

Preferably 45th to 55th between 6th and 10th aves. Although as the weather gets nicer that area can expand if the food is worth the walk.

              2. Pam's Real Thai, 49th St. just west of 9th, is open for lunch. Almost all their salads are under $10, and in case you're not that familiar withThai salads, I'll mention that they are substantial and often include some type of protein. They're also good, especially if you ask them to make them like they like them. I had them do that for me last time with the Som Tom, and not only was it spicier and less sweet than usual, but they also added lots of dried shrimps and a pretty strong dose of fish sauce. I thought it was delicious, but if you prefer, get their usual, which is still fairly spicy and good. Or get another salad. Their website isn't working, but look at their menu here:

Thanks, I never think to order salads when I get Thai food

                2. Hummus Kitchen has great lunch specials and is, for the most part, healthy eats.

I see it's about a block from Azuri. How does the food compare?

                    1. re: Pan

I prefer the falafel from Azuri (although HK is still good), but Hummus Kitchen has a very nice selection of different kinds of hummus and other foods. Also tables to sit down at.
