Japanese ice cream parfaits?

  • 2

Last year a friend came to visit and the one thing he really wanted to try was a big Japanese ice cream parfait. You know, the type you see in anime. We were going to eat in Little Tokyo so I figured it would be easy to find a place that had them. After looking around for quite a while, we ended up just giving up on the search and getting regular ice cream.

Well, he's going to come visit again this year and I'd like to get this for him this time. The only place I can think of off the top of my head which has really cool parfaits is Gaja-moc, but I'd much prefer to find something in Little Tokyo or Sawtelle because of it's closer to where we'll be meeting up.

Anyone know of any Japanese restaurants or coffee shops that have impressive parfaits? Unfortunately, bing su or Taiwanese shaved ice just won't do.

  1. Hanaichimonme might - IIRC they have a pretty big dessert menu.

Thanks for the rec. I'll check that place out before my friend visits to see how their parfaits are.
