Looking for "browning sauce", where would be my best bet?

Ask the people at Indie Arie in Largo. I wrote about them on dcfud.com recently.

In the Baltimore area, there's a Carribean grocery store on Liberty Road, between Rolling Road and 695. I can't remember the name of the store, but it's right across the street from a Carribean carryout called Tashes Ankh. The folks at Tashes Ankh are pretty nice, you could even ask them and they'd probably tell you.

          Red Apple
          7645 New Hampshire Ave
          Takoma Park, MD 20783

There are lots of international markets in that area and in Hyattsville, MD

co-sign and most of them have very generic names.

I ended up running into a bottle of Grace Foods Browning Sauce (allegedly made in Jamaica) at Shopper's Food in the ethnic section.
